I must have watched hundreds of videos of people using, loading, taking apart, modding and playing with this camera over the last few weeks, but I wasn’t prepared to how big it is! And that’s a good thing!

I didn’t only get the camera, which along with the 80mm planar lens was what was paid for, but also a lens hood, a UV filter and three rolls of 100Tmax film! All that was just included for awesome!

So now I’m looking for a good negative scanner, or flatbed with good and properly working negative holders and stuff. A friend of mine who runs a photo print shop bought a Imacon Flextight, but that’s a bit pricy for me. I’ll gladly pay a bit, though, since I’ll be using this piece of hardware for a long, long time.

Only two of them are mine though, which is a bit of a bummer… But I don’t have my Hasselblad yet, and I can’t decide on a nice way to take a picture of the Nikon, since it’s the one I’m shooting with!

It’ll be a mirror shot of the Nikon in a couple of days and hopefully a Hasselblad shot tomorrow! *fingers crossed*

Sure, that’s a bit risky, but this was from a store, and not a random (or not so random) auction website on the interwebs. It wasn’t too expensive and I tend to trust small stores with crappy websites over huge multi location companies that won’t need every customer to be happy.

Yesterday I called and confirmed that the latest addition to my gear collection is on it’s way. Now this turns out to be one of those few stores amongst hundreds that you can really love. You see, not only has Lennart, my new personal hero, packed and shipped my Hasselblad already, he told me he added a UV filter, a lens hood and no less than three rolls of 100 ISO 120 film, no charge!

It’ll be here tuesday at the latest and I’m all uppity and giddy all over!
